Sanitization and Safety
VIP is doing everything we can to ensure services are provide in a safe manner. During the State of Emergency, VIP staff were deemed essential workers and we worked with MDH and local Public Health to develop a safety plan. We implemented protocols based on CDC guidelines for Shelter and Congregate Living. We utilize air purifiers throughout our facility. In addition, we hired a contract cleaner to clean and disinfect shelter and offices on a daily basis.
Staff works closely with the Pennington County Director of Nursing for guidance and advice. Shelter residents have access to personal protection equipment, rapid testing kits and transportation to clinics for vaccinations and testing.
VIP purchases and stocks personal protection equipment and cleaning supplies. Shelter residents and staff have access to these supplies.
